Teething
The dreaded time in a parent/childs life when your baby starts teething and there is nothing you can do about it. Or is there?
My 7 Month old baby is the happiest baby in the world the only time she fusses is when she is either in pain (from teething) or when she is hungry. Now that she has two teeth and I know what I am in for I bought her one of these.
an Amber teething necklace. We just got it in the mail so we haven't tried it out yet but I have heard nothing but good reviews on these amazing natural and healing teething necklaces.
What are amber teething necklace. How it works:
Baltic Amber teething necklaces are the ideal solution when you choose to care for your baby in a natural way. When a baby is wearing amber teething necklace on the skin, the skin's warmth releases healing oils and resins from the amber which are absorbed via the skin into the bloodstream. Amber is not a stone and therefore warm to the touch, as well as very comfortable and light to wear.
Amber is known to reduce inflammation of the throat, ear and stomach and to fight inflammation, infections and respiratory disease. Traditional beaded amber necklaces are a less intrusive remedy for the pain and side effects of teething, such as lack of appetite, upset tummies, ear ache, fevers and colds. A natural analgesic, amber will help calm a baby without resorting to drugs. Amber's anti-inflammatory and therapeutic properties are also recognized by allopathic medicine. These necklaces are long known for the healing properties of amber which include calmative, analgesic, antispasmodic, expectorant, and febrifuge function. Amber, a natural analgesic, is commonly worn by babies and young children to help with teething difficulties. The amber is said to reduce inflammation caused by teething when worn close to the skin and promote a stronger immunity to common infection as well as assisting general well-being.
You can find the above necklace HERE
and here are a few more from this same seller
I really like the one below
I think I am just going to have to get one of these for me since the oils release when you get warm and helps with pain and every time I get a flare up I get a temperature. If you can help your children naturally why not do it and save their little body's from all the harsh chemicals when you are able.

Meditation and Yoga
for children
After I saw this photo it got me thinking about Meditation and then I started thinking about mind/body activities to do with your children. My daughter is only 5 months right now but I still find the time to sit with her and hold her in my arms in a quiet and calming atmosphere, you may not be able to call this meditation yet but I would call it the early stages of meditation. When I was younger every morning my mother would bring us into her room or a larger space as my younger sisters came along and we would do the sun salutation to wake up and become one with our body's. It helped our minds focus on one thing at a time and not EVERYTHING around us and helped stretch out our body for the day and this is a good way to start your body and mind exercises and teach your children to focus on their body. To this day when I wake up I try and do the sun salutation some days I find it hard to get out of bed and I know it will hurt like heck to start bending all over the place first thing in the morning so I will at least do what I can from the sitting position in my bed and work from there but I always stretch before I get out of bed and I have noticed that it helps ALOT with the Lupus joint pain BUT this post is not about Lupus or the adult it is 100% about your child and their mind/body and their spirit. To teach a child so young to meditate it will help with ADD, ADHD, it will help your child be able to communicate better and express themselves without frustration in turn will help with anxiety and any anger, it helps improves their academic abilities, problem solving skills and organizational skills. Now why wouldn't you want this for your child? Alot of people thing meditation is a religious thing and that is not the case. Meditation is used so that you can get to know yourself better and improve your lifestyle in a healthy and peaceful manner.
Below are a few links and videos I have found to help you teach your children yoga (do it with them its good for you to and a good way to spend time with the amazing person YOU created)
